Verizon Wireless ROCKS with the Eagles

OK…so I am a die hard Eagles fan and I just had to see all FOUR Eagles concerts at our new amphitheatre in the past week. All of the thousands of Eagles fans were not disappointed. They played 30 songs in over 3 1/2 hours and even my Mom was up dancing and singing in the aisles. Besides Don, Joe, Timothy and Glen there were 8 other members in the band playing drums, keyboards, sax, violin, trumpet etc. The sound and effects were amazing. The stage, with it’s HD backdrop and big screens to each side brought a whole new level of entertainment to the show. The set list was a dream come true for all fans with new Eagles songs from their Long Road Out of Eden album and tried and true classics from Don Henley, Joe Walsh and the original Eagles albums.
Kudos to the staff at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre for putting on a virtually flawless first 5 concerts. We even weathered a tornado passing overhead just prior to the last show on Tuesday. An hour later, as if right on cue, the sun peaked out from behind the clouds just as Don and the band took the stage. And for those of you worried about traffic…what traffic. I have been to shows in almost every venue in Atlanta and never had such an easy time getting into and out of the venue. The local police forces deserve a big round of applause for their excellent handling of traffic flow in and out of the event. I was home one night just 15 minutes after I got in my car after one of the shows. For anyone that has not figured it out yet there is a FREE shuttle parking lot at the intersection of Haynes Bridge Road and Westside Pkwy. You can park and enjoy a pre-concert meal and or cocktail at Sage or Village Tavern and then just hop on the shuttle bus to the show…how easy is that.
